There are so many makeup trends out today via the web and social media. While the videos and pictures are fun and entertaining, the best thing to do is to do what is best for your skin and facial features.
Beautiful makeup starts with beautiful skin. You cannot focus more on applying makeup than what is on underneath. Make sure you invest in products that are designed for your skin type. For certain skin issues like psoriasis or eczema, a dermatologist can help you by prescribing medication to help. For a daytime routine, use a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and SPF. Nighttime routines include a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. These are the basic products. There are also serums, eye creams, and special treatments.
Be careful what makeup trends you follow. For example, using clear finger polish on a cold sore in order to apply lipstick is unsanitary. Using non-makeup tools like scissors or spoons to create contour lines is unnecessary. Everyone’s face is structured deferentially, so the same contour you see someone else use may not work for you. If you have questions, it’s best to ask a professional skincare or makeup artist.
Blending is also very important. Harsh, obvious lines are not necessary for everyday makeup. With that being said, the proper brushes are also necessary to achieve a blended look. Brush kits come in various price ranges.
For eyes and brows, when in doubt, you can invest in a nude eye shadow palette.
With brows, you must also consider your face shape and features.
With beauty, it is important to find out what works for you and to find your own look. If you focus too much on trends, you can be caught in trying to look like someone else instead of how God made you.
