After a near death experience in 2014, Christian rapper Canon has returned with the release of his new single, “Eagles” from his up and coming project!
“ — Let’s shift our perspective and get above what the world tells us”, said the rapper in a Facebook post. The track encourages believers to rise above their experiences and fly beyond the eagles, ultimately manifesting Isaiah 40:31, which states “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
The track is a major head banger and a true testimony of the rapper after his encounter with death.
A few months after his holy matrimony with his wife, Canon departed from a performance at Faith Mission Ministries in Clarksville, Tennessee and he and and his manager, Brandon Mason noticed a wrecked car on the side of the road. Being Good Samaritans, Canon and his manager proceeded to assist. As they made their way over to the scene, the men noticed that there were gas fumes reeking from the car.
In fear of an explosion, Canon, unaware that there wasn’t a median, leaped over a railing, causing him to fall about 20 feet. The rapper suffered broken ribs, a concussion, and a broken jaw, which lead to the wiring of his jaw for a month.
Upon his recovery, God truly has given him a Word for the masses via this song and through the rest of his new project .
