Christianity and Reality T.V. (Part 2)

Does Christianity belong in the reality television realm? I honestly believe that it does. However, I think that it should defy the expectations of what a “good reality show” is rather than define it by the average reality t.v. show.

Reality Television is defined as “television programs in which real people are continuously filmed, designed to be entertaining rather than informative.”

According to this definition, the only necessity is for real people (not people playing characters) to be continually filmed, and for it to be entertaining. However, there is alot that is compromised in the name of being entertaining. The word of God says that if Christ be lifted up, He will draw all men unto Him (John 12:32) Whether that brings people to critique or respect the Spirit of God, they would get drawn by simply living a life of service unto God.

Do you think that people would enjoy watching reality television with less drama and more Jesus? What do you think? Let’s hear it!
