Tenth Avenue North is bringing the good news, once again, as they are set to release their fifth studio album on Reunion Records in October 14.
It’s been 8 years since the group hit the avenue and beckoned us to listen to its innovative sound. Since its inception, the group has achieved much acclaim and notoriety, touring with artist such as Chris Tomlin, Casting Crowns, and Mercy Me.
They have also achieved success on the music charts with songs like, “You Are More.” The group had a strong start out of the gates as a recipient of The Dove Award’s New Artist of the Year.
As far as inspiration for the new album goes, lead singer, Mike Donehey says of that, “This album is about following Jesus wherever He calls us.”
The group also recognizes that success means nothing stating that, “God isn’t as interested in the success of our career as He is about the posture of our hearts.”
To further solidify their position. the group also states that, “What we’re saying is not to follow Jesus in what we do but to follow Jesus in the WHY we do it.” With this in mind, Tenth Avenue North seems to have found the right road to travel.
The new album is available for preorder now on iTunes, and if you need something to hold you over in the meantime, you can download “Afraid,” and “What You Want.”
