Recently, one of our favorite gospel artists came forward with her story of infidelity in her marriage. International recording artist, Lisa McClendon, exposed her husband, Pastor Maurice Brailsfordon, on social media as being a “womanizer.”
In this video, her hurt, devastation, and anger was clearly seen by viewers. Although transparency is required for healing and deliverance to take place, it’s important for it to be done in order. If not, the danger of having the time for both individuals to process through this can be negatively affected. We have to remember that although situations can be devastating and tough to handle, if we love God all things will work together for the good.
McClendon did post an apology video to those who may have been offended. She stated that she received some wisdom and felt she could have handled the situation a little differently. She did ask for prayer for everyone involved and does not want her emotions to be seen more than the issue at hand.
Infidelity is so devastating and affects people on so many levels. It is the cause of broken hearts, churches, families, and affects the future of surrounding individuals as well as those involved. However, God can expose, process, deliver, heal, rectify, and restore each individual who has been affected.
