“We’re asking the father for in house cleansing, for the sake of the mission!”   -Flame

For the body and for the mission is the purpose of Flame and Mike Real’s recent collaborative EP release, Revival. The album touches on various issues that are prevalent within the Body of Christ. Sin is the main topic at hand.

As time evolves, the days are growing more wicked. As Christians, we are supposed to stand out during times of darkness; however, the album notes how we’ve began to blend in through our very own sin and compromise. The term revive or revival is usually noted within the Bible during the times when someone or is in need of restoration, or to be reminded of their salvation and God’s sovereignty.

The intent of the album is not to point the finger, but rather to identify and expose the elephant that has been sitting in the room with the Body of Christ. The issue of sin within the body is infectious and is causing the power of the Gospel to appear dwarfed.

In the lyrics to his song “Revival,” Flame states, “My prayer is that we stay faithful, and preach Gospel, seek first holiness and fight false doctrine, break pride, unify a divided body, I pray that we prioritize being Christ carbon copy.”

Not only does the album identify the hidden sickness within the faith, but it creates a platform for both artists, Flame and Mike Real, to proclaim their faithfulness, the authenticity of their salvation, and their stance against compromise.

Revival is presented with love and a genuine heart to see the Body of Christ return to her first love by seeking, healing, and moving forward with the mission.
